About us

The Toy Appeal is a registered charity, operated by Dee and Chris Drake each year, which provides toys at Christmas to children living in poverty. The Appeal has been running since 2013.

In 2018, in our 6th year, we are hoping to be able to provide toy sacks to over 3,000 children. This can only be achieved with your support.

Working with social workers, schools and various drop-in centres, the Appeal is provided with lists of families, who need help to ensure that their children receive something at Christmas.  The Toy Appeal can only take requests for toy sacks via the above routes.

Each toy sack is made specifically for each child, based on their age and any special needs they may have. To date, we have provided 7,200 toy sacks to underprivileged children in the Manchester and Cheshire area.

  1. Hi folks,

I am the engagement officer here at the Altrincham Branch of Convergys.
I wanted to get some info so we can start a christmas collection for yourselves

If we were to start a collection is there a best date for yourselves? Where would it need to be dropped off?
I am hoping to get some of the folks here physically involved in charity work over the december period, do you have any need for volunteers?
Do you have any materials i can use to promote this and also is there anything that you do not collect??
